What to Expect

Where do you go for urgent help after hours? A primary care physician remains your trusted doctor for annual checkups, but they will generally work on a set schedule unavailable after hours, on days off, or over holidays. That’s where urgent care services can make all the difference.

Do you need a knowledgeable medical team to assist you immediately? Rather than visit an emergency room that makes you take a number to see a busy doctor for a few minutes, try Aloe for the following:

  • Lab and X-Ray facilities

  • Numerous other state-of-the-art diagnostic pieces of equipment

  • Broad spectrum care services

  • Compassionate medical professionals

  • Immediate help

Acute Pain

Acute pain typically remains after an injury. It is different from chronic pain, which seems to occur for no apparent reason and may include headaches, arthritis, and nerve damage. Acute pain may arise up to about six months post-injury but could even last longer or come and go in intense waves.

What causes acute pain? We see all sorts of cases, including the following:

  • Muscle strains

  • Broken bones

  • Dental and surgery-related ailments and more

A simple medical examination identifies the symptom’s source so that our physician can suggest the necessary adjustments for relief. Follow-up care might also include suggestions for a change in diet, physical therapy or movement, or prescription medication.

Sinus Infections

Has swelling in your sinuses blocked your sinus openings or caused overwhelming mucus levels? Sinusitis can originate from allergens, bacteria, chemicals, and pollutants and lead to a viral sinus infection (about 90% of patients) or bacterial sinus infections. Bacterial infections usually last over a week and lead to pain, fever, and headaches.

  • Acute sinus disease lasts around four weeks.

  • Sub-acute sinus disease may last up to three times as long.

  • Chronic sinusitis sometimes causes suffering for up to three months.

While chronic conditions require a specialist’s evaluation, we can help acute and sub-acute sinus disease with over-the-counter products like:

  • Nasal sprays

  • Saline washes

  • Antihistamines

Rest and fluids also accelerate healing while our urgent care physicians work to uncover the infection type, cause, and personalized treatment method you need.

Cuts and Stitches

Whether you accidentally cut yourself making dinner or were the unfortunate victim of an animal attack, deep cuts cannot close on their own. Severe blood loss is dangerous, so visit us if you notice these signs that you need urgent attention:

  • Cuts that don’t stop bleeding after 20 minutes of applied pressure need attention.

  • If the cut is over 1/3 of an inch long or more than 1/4 of an inch deep, consider stitches.

  • Are there particles in the wound? You need our care services to avoid infection.

Our physician will use a specific suture material for wounds, depending on its location, the skin thickness, and the tension needed. If it is dissolvable material, you won’t have to make an appointment for suture removal.
